We refuse to sell inferior espresso machines, or for that matter, inferior anything, just to make a profit. Software Update for La Spaziale Vivaldi II We though the Vivaldi II was perfect like it was. Well in 2008 we decided there were a couple of things we could do to improve it even more! We added Programmable Offset Differential and Programmable Passive Pre Infusion. The other good news is these improvements can be added to any previously purchased Vivaldi II since they are software updates. La Spaziale Pre Infusion Chamber Now you can add a Pre Infusion chamber to your Mini Vivaldi II. This pre infusion chamber functions the same way a pre infusion chamber on an E61 group does. There is already a pre drilled and taped hole in the side of your brew group where the chamber attaches. You simply unscrew the plug that is there and attach the chamber. New 4 Hole Steam Tip with .9mm Holes New 4 Hole steaming tip with .9 mm holes. As great a machine as the Vivaldi is, people have expressed difficulty in making nice micro foam. The Vivaldi is a commercially made machine. It is not only a wonderful machine for home use, but it can also be used in small restaurants and for catering operations as well. La Spaziale's intent was to build it so that it can handle the volume required in those commercial applications. I asked La Spaziale to have a special tip made for me with the same pattern and number of holes, but to make the holes much smaller, approximately .9 mm in diameter compared to the current 1.3 mm size. In addition this tip will work on Quick Mill Vetrano, Andreja Premium, and ECM Giotto Premium. These three machines all have the stainless steel NO BURN steam arms. When put on the Quick Mill Vetrano, Andreja Premium, and the ECM Giotto Premium the first time it is necessary to use a small wrench to get it to thread. The threads are NOT a perfect match like they are on the Vivaldi however it works fine once you put it on the first time. If you put this tip on a no-burn steam arm, like found on the Vetrano, Andreja Premium, and the Giotto premium, the arm will get hot and no longer stay cool to the touch.
